The Transtar 2K Epoxy Primer/Sealer is an excellent option when sanding through the finish. The primer/sealer requires no induction time and can be applied directly to metal. You can easily apply this primer/sealer over paint, sanded bare metals and primers. Also used as a sealer over existing finishes before body work, the two-component primer is lead and chrome free. The primer resists corrosion and has amazing adhesion properties. This product is especially recommended for use over lacquer type primer such as Universal Primer 6001, our SKU 1701304.

For best performance and consistency, we recommend using the manufacturer-recommended activator and reducer with this primer. These products are formulated to work together and help ensure optimal adhesion, application, and finish quality. For the activator you may choose between Transtar 6141 (our SKU 1807876) and the Transtar 6144 (our SKU 1807886). And for the reducer, choose between Transtar 6701-F (our SKU 1816125) and Transtar 6711-F (our SKU 1816126).
