Professional opinion of Kirker paint
By Joseph Ottati on Sep 19, 2020
Used the Kirker Ultra Glow Pure white with Medium activator. Painted with Kirker for the first time. I used it to paint the complete right side if a Yukon XL to include door handles, moldings and mirror (all small parts pulled off vehicle). I used a downdraft spray booth and Sata Jet 3000 HVLP gun with 1.4 tip. I reduced the paint slightly. I used Kirker prep wash. Used 320 grit to sand the vehicle. The results: it flows smooth when reduced (don't over reduce, you'll get runs). A 1.4 fluid tip is a must, anything smaller is to fine for single stage and will require over reducing. Any thicker of a tip and the paint texture will be too much. It laid out smooth, good gloss hold out. It filled the 320grit scratches with ease, it had complete color coverage in 2 coats (I did 4 coats because I plan on sanding and buffing the vehicle). No solvent pop, no hazing. It flashes off very fast, but don't put the coats on too fast, you don't want to trap solvent. I think it's good quality paint. I will use it again. If Auto body tool mart allowed pictures with reviews, I'd post some.
