The Finish 1 Lead and Chromate Hazard Free Etch Primer is lead and chromate free and is ideal for spot or panel repairs where bare metal is present. It increases both adhesion and corrosion protection on bare substrates. It also fills minor surface imperfections and may be top-coated directly for quick and easy repairs. It works great on substrates like steel, fiberglass, galvanized steel, cured body filler, aluminum and OEM enamels.

To use the Finish 1 Lead and Chromate Hazard Free Etch Primer, spray at 8-9 psi at the cap for HVLP or 30-35 psi for conventional guns. Then apply 2-3 medium wet coats, allowing 2-3 minutes flash time between coats. The final dry film thickness should be a minimum of 1.0 mil. You can recoat it in thirty minutes, and scuff sand it in sixty minutes with 320-grit or finer sandpaper after 24 hours. This primer is very efficient and safe and is sure to make your priming jobs easier.
