Lou Santiago & Our New Shop Talk Forum

Auto Body Toolmart is happy to announce that our Auto Body & Automotive Repair Forums are up and running.  We are also excited to welcome Lou Santiago from Muscle Car who will be available for questions and comments on anything related to the automotive industry.

Born in the Bronx to a teacher and iron worker, Lou was destined to become a world class mechanic, builder and fabricator.  His father taught him to work hard and helped to bring out his inner fabricator at a young age.  In fact, by the age of 13 Lou was already developing a passion for building and racing cars.  His love for street racing with his friend’s ’68 Dart involved budget car building and creative fabrication.

To further his knowledge in the automotive industry, Lou attended a two year trade program in diesel mechanics with the Board of Cooperative Education Services.  By 1981, he began a colorful career as a Seabee mechanic in the U.S. Navy.  Because his work in the Navy required that he maintain heavy equipment with few available spare parts, the need for creative fabrication became invaluable.

By 2005, Lou landed a job on Spike TV’s Muscle Car.  As a result, Lou became known around the world for his love of cars and expertise in restoring and building magnificent machines.  So if you have a “how to” question, Lou is your guy.

The Shop Talk Forum is an excellent place to share ideas, talk to other professionals in the industry and to ask and answer questions.  We hope to see all of you there soon!!

We welcome Lou Santiago from MuscleCar who will be available for questions and comments on anything related to the automotive industry.  As a former co-host of the popular show MuscleCar on Spike, Lou is well versed on automotive repairs and restoration.  Whether you are restoring a muscle car or making repairs to an old fixer upper, Lou Santiago has the knowledge to help you along the way.
