I have a 68 barracuda that I am working on. I plan on putting in a 10 or 12 point roll cage and frame stiffeners. I will also be putting on both quarters and the driver side rear seat floor pan. I have a rotisserie that the car will be put on. When I try to lift the car on the roisserie, the top of the door opening collapses about 1/8" on both sides. I was going to weld in a door opening "X" brace to support it and then door all sheetmetal work. Then I started thinking....if I am going to weld in a cage later, why not now and forget the "X" brace. The cage would stiffen the car far better then the "X" brace. Is this a good idea? What are the pros and cons of putting the cage in first to stiffen up the unibody? Thanks for any and all help and feed back.

I thought this was "Shop Talk with Lou Santiago".....maybe it should be "Shop Talk with no one".
I am sure there are people out there that have run into this same question/situation before that can shed some light on the subject.
