Surface Preparation

Degrease with Precleaner or panel prep and allow to dry. E.g. S2000, S2001 or S2002

Abrade the surface. Original paint: Wet sand P320 or Dry sand P280. Bare metal: Abrade with P180. (Aluminium and zinc coated steel): Must first be coated with 1-2 light coats of ACID #8 1K etch primer and allowed to dry for 20 minutes.
GRP, SMC, Glass fibre, Polyester Filler: Dry sand P240. E-coat: UP2252 Is suitable for direct application to unabraded E-coated panels.

Degrease with System 20 Degreaser.

When dry sand down primer, wet sand P800 or Dry sand P320, repeat Step 1. Apply base coat and clear coat e.g. S2083
