Quantum Premium Lightweight Filler is Evercoat’s best sanding and smoothest finishing body filler ever. Its unsurpassed sanding qualities are the result of Quantum’s patent-pending 10:1 hybrid polyester technology that utilizes an epoxy-enriched BPO catalyst.

Quantum contains ZNX-7 for adhesion to galvanized steel and aluminum, and is compatible with new HAPS-compliant and waterborne coatings.
The first filler to pass 500 hours salt spray test (ASTM B117), therefore returning the vehicle back to pre-accident condition.
Use with Quantum 10:1 BPO Catalyst only (8761-H & 8761-L)

Preparation:

Clean and degrease the entire panel to be repaired with soap and water, followed by a mild cleaning solvent. Thoroughly dry surface before repairing.
Keep the repair area small. Sand the repair area with 80 grit sandpaper, removing the paint.
Use 80 grit sandpaper to featheredge the paint. Featheredge inward toward the repair.

Mixing:

Stir the body filler before using. Knead the Quantum 10:1 BPO Catalyst tube.
Place desired amount of filler on a clean, non-fibrous mixing board.
Measure catalyst 10% by volume (add a ribbon of Quantum BPO catalyst from edge to edge across the center of a 4" diameter puddle). Puddles larger than 4" in diameter will require additional catalyst.
Fold catalyst into filler until uniform color is achieved.

Application:

Apply in thin layers and spread smoothly. Do not blob on or apply all at once as this causes pinholes. To ensure best adhesion apply firm pressure with spreader when applying.

Finish:

Sandable in approximately 10-15 minutes at 70°F. Sand hardened filler with 80 grit sandpaper.
Sand bare metal and featheredge with 180 grit sandpaper to remove 80 grit scratches.
For best results, apply #460 Quantum 10:1 Premium Finishing Putty. This will provide a smoother finish and reduce the number of coats of primer required for a quality finish.
