Champ Pneumatic Planishing Hammer
The Planishing Hammer has been long used in metal fabrication and restoration to smooth large areas of metal, welds and gentle panel crowning. The basic idea is that the hammering with slight light blows will smooth the metal. As long as you use proper tecnique, the metal won't get overstretched.
The sturdy frame with 22" throat depth is beefy enough to smooth 18-gauge steel! This planishing hammer is constructed of galvanized sheet metal and carbon steel. The power head is a heavy-duty aircraft rivet gun that boasts 1740 blows per minute - not some cheap air chisel.
